End of an Era

It is official!  The time has come for me to move away from Flagstaff.  Don't worry! Rachel is here to take over all but the bridal aspect of the business.  If you have clothing with me, I will take care of it before I leave and Rachel will return anything I am not able to return before I go.  I will be back in town several times through the fall to wrap up my bridal alterations and any other projects.

In Denver I plan to move forward with my custom wedding gown and dress business so visit me at www.annethomascouture.com. I am able to design gowns remotely as well!  My husband and I are also starting a letterpress business, so stay tuned for more information on that!

Please send all inquiries to Rachel now! (928) 679-0808.  She is a wonderful seamstress and is looking forward to making your clothing fit!

I will miss you Flagstaff!  Thanks for your business and your friendship, it has been a pleasure working here.

Best wishes!
Anne.

Shop your closet

When you are sorting through your closet seeking something to wear, do you pass up blouses, pants, or skirts that just don't have the fit or style you like?  Maybe this top needs a lower neckline?  Maybe you've lost weight and your favorite dress is too big now?  Maybe you'd like that skirt to be less of an a-line?  Don't throw away half your wardrobe just because you need a few alterations!  When you have a favorite or one of a kind piece that needs saving, I'm here to help.  Often altering a garment is less expensive than buying a new one. If you've got something sentimental or vintage that simply can not be replaced, why not call your alterations expert to lend a hand in making it perfect for your figure again?  I specialize in garment alterations and up-cycling. I also understand the importance of treating your vintage or heirloom garments with care.  So, next time you are looking for something to wear and half your closet is unwearable - gather up those cast off clothes and give me a call!

Moving

The change continues!  Rachel will be moving the daily wear alterations side of the business to her new studio in the Caire Chiropractic Building on the corner of Fine and Leroux next week!  So call her to schedule an appointment and check out her new space!

I am still located in the Babbitt Building on Heritage Square but will just be finishing the alterations I have and working on bridal alterations and custom gowns for the fall. I will still see former clients so give me a call if you have been in before and I may be able to squeeze you in!

I am sometimes asked about my sewing machines so I thought I would show you all my very favorite machine in the world.  She isn't fancy and doesn't do a million stitches, but she is a hard worker!  I have three singer featherweight machines.  I learned to love these machines from my grandmother who had a great old featherweight (that my mom still uses).

Have a good weekend!
Anne.
